MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

DR_edited.jpg

As the Director of the Diabetes Health Foundation Charitable Trust, I am deeply committed to addressing the escalating diabetes epidemic in India. With over 62 million individuals currently diagnosed with diabetes, and projections indicating that this number could rise to 79.4 million by 2030, the need for urgent action is clear. Diabetes poses significant health risks, leading to complications such as neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, cardiovascular disease, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease. These complications can severely impact the quality of life and increase the economic burden on families and society.

Our foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, screening, educating, and treating diabetes to mitigate its impact. Awareness is crucial in reducing undiagnosed cases and preventing complications. Proper education empowers individuals to manage their condition effectively, promoting healthier lifestyles and reducing healthcare costs. We emphasize the importance of diet and exercise as fundamental components of diabetes self-care.

With your support, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes. Together, we can improve health outcomes and create a healthier future for all. Join us in this vital mission to combat diabetes and enhance the well-being of our community.
